Noisy birds

Have you got them too? It's really warm and clammy today, all the TV aerials are stacked up with squawking starlings and there are loads of others swooping around chattering and chirping, very unusual.

DH reckons the heat has confused them and they can't remember if they have to go away, or if they've already been and have to come back

The SE London parakeet flocks are flying lower than usual, JanH. I think they think they are back in Belize.

Yes, we are feeling much better now, thank you both! Will be betterer when DH actually has another job but meanwhile he is very chirpy and is enjoying the break - lack of wheels is the only problem, we are going to hire a motorised roller skate for a week.

Noticed that our street was full of noisy twitterers on Friday. We're on the Midlands/NW border. Perhaps we're being invaded by refugees from the bird flu culls.
