Just thought I would post a link to PostPals . DD (age 6) and I have just spend a nice half hour on this site and she chose a poorly child to send something to. The little boy liked dinosaurs so weprinted off a load of dinosaur colouring pages and then she made him a card.
She wants to choose one everyday!
It's a nice activity to do with children old enough to understand the point.. (to make poorly kids smile when they get something through the post - all addresses are forwarding addresses) and doesn't need to cost much. Siblings of sick children are included too so that they can sometimes receive 'posty' as well. It's a fab charity set up by a group of girls all of whom have suffered illness themselves if I remember rightly.
