I have resisted leaving BT after hearing so many nightmare stories about other providers (I also get daily calls from Toucan and slightly less regularly from onetel asking me to switch to them, I'm now on first name terms with the entire call centre )

In the meantime you could call BT to get their access code which will over ride Onetel's diverter. Unless you have your landline provided by Onetel as well.

If you place it before calls it will mean you can can call out, but those calls will go on a BT phone bill. HTH as I've had problems with onetel and worse still, homecall, before now.

I have used onetel since 2001 for calls to MIL, FIL & SIL australia as it is just so cheep.

We have decided to apply to emigrate over there & need to prove that we have been calling MIL, FIL & SIL on reg basis.

We only have a the ones from this year & they want more onetel want £5.00 per copy sent to us! We need at least 12 per year! What a rip off!

melissasmummy · 10/10/2005 14:22

sorry, last paragraph should say "we only have bills from this year"

We resisted switching completely, we just use a code before we dial the number

Nightynight · 11/10/2005 12:34

onetel have changed, they used to be brilliant but now they are completely inept and I have got rid of them.

I have never had any problems with Call18866 - okay you have to dial a number before hand but if you programme it at the front of the numbers stored in your phone it's no hassle whatsoever.

Free billing and only deal with them over the Internet - heaven.
