I am selling a dress in ebay and have had an American bidder ask me when they could recieve the dress by. If I posted first class on Tuesday when could I expect it to arrive?

gosh! airmail I had things arrive east coast within about 4-5days but obviously depends on lots of things.

sold quite a bit on ebay - usually say a week to US. but then i have had things i have sent to Australia received quicker than that!

It depends in a lot of things I would say probably 10 days for a parcel that is not sent by express delivery.

turnupthebass will I be ok sending a baby dress airmail? or will it have to go surface mail?

Royal Mail overseas general posting info

airmail prices

surface mail prices

IME surface mail can get there as quick as airmail - seems to depend on the whim of the person who sorts it. I once (just once ) was sufficiently organised to send our Christmas cards to the US surface mail in October and they arrived the next week so I never bothered again - but it really can take 6 weeks, and you can guarantee it will if you don't want it to, so I would go airmail (anyway they will pay won't they?)

Small packet rate is useful.

twinsetandpearls · 08/10/2005 01:19

Have you ever used airsure? Is it worth the extra money?

Certainly doesn't take long as I posted an Ebay dress there last week too. Say a week to be on the safe side.
