AArggghhhh!! Got a parking ticket!!! [angry]

Just took dd1 to speech therapy and parked on the single yellow line where I normally park. Came out and found I had a ticket, there is new sign saying no parking between 9-11am, but where I was parked just had one about no dogs fouling. If I had put dd2's disabled badge up I would have been ok
Oh well.....

Argue with them! Parking is grim around the Royal Hospital for Sick Children here, and DH had been parking in this metered zone when he took DD to physio. But one day when he did, he came out to find they'd changed the rules to residents' parking from 8-5. He argued it w/the council - and kept his appointment letter from Sick Kids - and they threw the ticket out.

Is it worth appealing in these circumstances as it's a new sign. You might be lucky.

Dunno, tbh, I was parked on a single line, but never had a problem before, and I park there because its easier to get into the clinic, just annoyed that if I had put up her badge I would have been fine.

Its 60 pounds though if I pay within 14 days its reduced to 30 pounds

I'm going to send a cheque with a letter explaining its a disabled car, and i was running late and forgot to put up the badge.

That sounds like a good strategy!

I was running late, was 5 minutes late for her appointment, what annoys me is that I was actually in the clinic, wasn't just parked there for the train.

Could you not say that your disabled badge was there and pretend the parking attendant hadn't seen it?
