Beware BHS
Just a short note to all of you buying schoolwear from BHS.
Bit long ? but bear with me.
On Sunday, I went into my local BHS (Sutton) to buy DS some shoes and some socks for school and DD some socks.
The schoolwear was all on the ground floor and they had no suitable shoes left in my son's size and no boys socks. They also had no boys trousers in my son's size (age 6). He has 3 new pairs of trousers but just thought I would buy another pair.
But I did buy my eldest DD two packs of 5 pairs of long socks.
Yesterday, I took the socks out of their packs. One pack of 5 pairs were fine, but the other pack only had 4 pairs and they were all different sizes (two pairs would have fit my youngest DD ? age nearly 2!, one pair were slightly bigger and one pair were the correct size (4-7).
I took them back yesterday to BHS and they kindly changed them for me. While in there, I decided to look at their toddler's wear thinking I would buy some autumn clothing for her as summer seems to have long gone.
Upstairs, they had loads and loads of school wear. I think that everyone thinks the only school wear is on the ground floor and were not even looking at the first floor where childrens clothes normally are.
Got my son some shoes (buy them from BHS as he kicks them out so quickly and I don't mind buying him a new pair every 6 weeks as they are so reasonably priced). Also found some socks for him, but instead of 10 pairs they only had 8 pairs in the pack (last pack in his size) so they let me have them for £5.
Also bought him some pants (pack of 7) and when I got home and checked them they only had 6 pairs in the packet but I am not taking them back again.
Just beware ? when buying packs of socks/pants, check the quantity in the pack.
