Anyone know anything about spiders?

There are two spiders who live in our front and back gardens, like sentrys. I'm sure our bathroom window never see's the window cleaners shammy because of it. They're brown with stripy legs and a white zig zag pattern on they're seriously huge abdomen. About 50p piece across, maybe a bit bigger but really bulky (and scary).

Have they escaped from my bananas?

Don't tell me it's poisonous. I've been poking it. It might be angry!

Yes, they come in pairs apparently. I think they're called 'stalker' spiders. t

You wish!

They're watching everthing you do and when they've lulled you into a false sense of security 'oh it's harmless enough' - that's when they do their thing. shudder

There is a lovely big spider who sleeps all day above my back door and spins an enormous web at night so if we forget and walk out the back door without going arms first we get a face full of web! It has brown and white stripes.

I used to be terrified of spiders but since teaching my kids that they must not kill spiders and removing the odd one from the wendy house I've got braver!

monstersmummy · 06/10/2005 11:16
