Obviously we've just had Christmas. Dd is 7 on Friday and I haven't a clue what to get her, she has made no suggestions either. She doesn't like dolls etc, has most things such as camera, bike etc and I don't do TVs or gaming things. She's too big for dressing up and I don't really want to get clothes or something for her room.

Am I missing something fantastic? Please help! No particular budget but don't want to spend a fortune.

Thank you

mp3 player?

Hand-held electronic games, eg 20Questions ball and Nano (both under £10 and my 7 yr old loves them)?

Horrible history/science books or DVDs?

Drawing equipment if arty (eg watercolour pencils, small tubes of acrylics, decent sketchbook)?

Or an "experience"...like painting pottery, driving a digger, go-karting, visit to a show with a parent/friend. We have found this year that our kids have so much 'stuff' so some of the pricier days out have been ideal as gifts from clueless grandparents

HTH!

A trip/ theatre visit ? DD1 is 6 in a couple of weeks and we had no ideas and she hasn't come up with anything big but she loves Mamma Mia (the film) and going to the theatre so we have booked tickets to go and see the stage show. I can't wait (but they are for her really Wink)

Great idea! She loves Mamma Mia too. She's never been to a show like that.

We already have 20Q (4 kids and she's the youngest so we have most things I'm afraid!) and she also has an ipod shuffle.

Sorted - thank you! Trip to London for a show.
