Baby rolled off change mat........

Im such an idiot. I was so busy thinking about the poo that had just leaked out of my DS's nappy and all over me and the chair that i laid him on his mat and turned round without a thought (I NEVER leave him unattended usually) and started to walk out of the room to dump my pooey trousers in the sink to wash when finished.

I didnt even get as far as the door before i heard the thud. Im such a stoopid cow. Please feel free to agree with me. Stupid stupid stupid.

Dont worry, im sure we've all done it. I know I have. I remember a friend telling me about her dd falling off the bed and thinking oh my god, how irresponsible, I would never do that. Thud, it happened about 3 days later. Luckily babies bounce, not that im advocating bouncing them

It's happened to lots of us. I once let dd1 roll off the changing table onto a lino floor .

Don't beat yourself up over it, just make sure you've learnt your lesson. Give ds extra cuddles and maybe go out for a little outing to get your mind off it and move on.
