Just a question...

I put an ad online yesterday for our TV/Video Combo and have a woman coming to look at it today. She is coming from across town (30min bus journey) and if interested in TV is going to struggle to get a 20" TV out of house and on public transport.
I offered to give her a lift back with it if she was interested.
Do you think i'm daft and that's just not the done thing?

I'd probably have done the same thing, but if you think she could be a mad axe murderer, you could just offer to deliver without her in the car!

i can't drive but even if i could i wouldn't offer. she could always rng a cab but she has chsen the bus...not ur prob.

I think it's very kind of you, and I know that my dh would probably offer to do the same thing (I don't drive).

It might mean she's more likely to buy the TV from you as well, if she knows she's going to be able to get it home easily.

She is obviously barking. How on earth could she expect to carry a large t.v., and get onto public transport?

Barking, or as previously suggested, an axe murderer. You should get a better idea when she turns up, try and look her into her eyes, they're a dead giveaway.

I felt sorry for her. The thought of trekking across town, then up to where we live to look at the TV. I suppose she could just ring a cab.
Will wait and see what she's like then. Did ask her to call before arriving to check if we could actually take her back so have option to say no.

Maybe she's not barking, just short of cash (hence second hand tv / bus over cab?)

I'd offer to deliver without her in the car, that was a sensible suggestion someone made
