Ds's baby clothes. I've mostly kept all of them but as we are facing a move and rather cash strapped atm will I regret selling them? What do you reckon?

I thought it was going to be sell or keep the kids

jessicaandbumpsmummy · 03/10/2005 19:19

ive kept a few special bits (my faves) but sold or given away a lot of other bits.....

kid · 03/10/2005 19:20

I reckon you should keep your favourite bits and sell the rest.

SoupDragon · 03/10/2005 19:20

Depends if you're planning on using them again and whether the cost of replacing them in that event is more or less than you'd get for selling them.

Flossam · 03/10/2005 19:25

I would like another baby at some point. But then, they are all little boy's clothes and I only have a fifty fifty chance of getting one of them again don't I?

It would cost me more to buy it all over again than I would get by selling them, definately, but then it is a lot to haul down three flights of stairs for a house move isn't it?

Will you be doing the hauling though...?

Do you have a friend you could "lend" them to whilst you move?

SoupDragon · 03/10/2005 19:31

(and I would have been more than happy to dress dS2 in DS1s baby clothes had he been a girl )

Flossam · 03/10/2005 19:42

ATM, DP's family are keen to help us to stop us paying loads for removals. So yes, afaik or can tell, it will be us hauling. I have several black bin bags full. Just as well you have two sons IMO SD, that could be one rather confused child!

If you are planning another baby - take out all your favourite bits and sell the rest.

When your family is complete chose ONE favourite outfit and then sell the rest.

Well that's what I've done anyway. I found it hard to get rid of stuff but at the end of the day I have my dds and that's enough for me.

Lonelywitch · 03/10/2005 19:47

Even if you have a girl, there are many things that can be worn by a girl or a boy. Pick out those, plus a few favourite things to keep as a momento of ds.

Flossam · 03/10/2005 20:01

Right. Will start nagging DP to bring things down from the loft. Ebay here I come!

I'm keeping everything I have. If I have another daughter, I'll have everything I need. If I have a son, I'll sell the girls stuff.

Flossam · 03/10/2005 22:19

I would have done that too swizzles, without a doubt, had it not been for the moving thing.
