Has anyone heard of this cosmetic company and/or become a 'consultant' for them??

SIL has apprently just signed up to become a consultant - but I've never heard of it!

she did mention it was an American company - just wanted to find out if anyone had any experience of them - incase they're a rip off.

Once went to a 'party' by MK when on holiday in America, years ago. Sort of like avon, selling their own make. All packaging is pink. I have a vague memory of a film about a Mary Kay person where someone goes door to door selling, then gets a pink car( Obviously having a hallmark movie moment confession!)

Nope, not a rip off. Kind of like Avon. It used to be that you could win substantial prizes if you achieved a certain level of sales. It was quite rare, but not unheard of, to see a pink cadillac with a discreet Mary Kay logo on the back window. That was the ultimate prize for the most successful sales reps. Pink is (or used to be), the Mary Kay colour.
