Setting Up Online Community Message Boards - Help

My DH has asked me to look into setting up a guild site for him (online roleplay games). I need to find a host that is either very very cheap, or free.

I'm not too keen on MSN groups or Yahoo groups (tried both in the past and not got on too well with them).

Any recommendations?

It will need to have quite a few sections I think, and preferably for it to be easy to have pictures in posts.

Not very, but a fairly fast learner....

in that case your best bet is probably any cheap linux hosting account with a MySQL database and with \link{http://www.phpbb.com/PHP BB} - it's a good open source bulletin board. You'll probably recognise it - it's widely used and the instructions are quite clear.
