DD knocked her tooth out

She's only 3!!!! she kept knocking this tooth and it keep bleeding. Today she just tripped (she has CP, so falls a lot) and I picked her up saw she was bleeding agin so asked DH to get a cloth when she spat out this tooth!! Took her to the densist who said that one of the knocks before possibly killed the tooth and each knock made it wobblier and todays knock just knocked it out. Either that, or it was infected. They couldn't put it back in as it would cause problems with her adult teeth so she is going to have no tooth there for a good few years

mieow, it's quite possible that her other teeth will shuffle up a bit once the gum has healed and the gap won't look so big. Some children lose their front teeth quite early (4 or 5) anyway, and although she will be gappy for a while they actually look quite cute without - once you're used to it!

Hope it's not hurting her too much anyway.

Dd's 1 and 2 both had to have teeth removed at aged 2 because they had died after knocking them while learning to crawl/walk. I thought they looked really sweet. Dd2's new front teeth have just come through this summer, she's 6 1/2. Ds1 just had his front ones taken out for similar reasons, though he is 4 1/2, and he looks really cheeky! Luckily ds2 has escaped damaging his yet due to the fact he has only been crawling a couple of months (he's 2 1/2).
