`old school' food

do you remember when you was at school a dessert called toffee cream tart?.it had a pastry bottom and was filled with a brown gooey toffee like filling.does anyone have the recipe for this yummy dessert?.eveyone i know loved it.

Gary Rhodes calls it Gypsy tart - it's in one of his books, but there's an online version here . I've never tried it but it sounds great!

talking of school deserts can anyone remember 'sh*t and snot'?

We had something called fudge tart which sounds really similar. My brother and I loved it so much that my mum asked the school cooks for the recipe, but we never managed to make it cos it said things like "get two vats of flour and three gallons of milk".
