Help!! We need to re-mortgage soon as our fixed rate term is coming up in December - have done a couple of web searches but it's completely baffling - has anyone got any recommendations on either banks/building societies to try, or even comparison web sites??

moneyfacts.co.uk
mortgages.charcolonline.co.uk

You have to pay charcol a % not sure what it is.

We went with the Abbey this time but think it depends on individual circumstances.

You do have to pay charcol, but you can look on the website for free.

We are in the process of changing to the Cheshire - have a look at their site, they have been really good so far.

MSN money do quite a good comparison page

ooh thanks - looking into the Cheshire and also Skipton - it's just so hard to feel 'informed' about such a big decision!

Make sure you consider how much it is going to cost you, we were going to go for a two year fixed rate but have now gone for five as after the fees have been taken into consideration we won't be making that much of a profit.

Contact London and country mortgages.Tell them what you are after and they will find you the best deal(they're brokers)on the market and it's free of charge. We have used them twice, and would be more than happy to use them again.Haven't got the details to hand but I did post their details a while back under the legal/money matters section,if you want to have a look for it.Sorry,in a bit of a rush but hth.
