So I decide to complete my christmas shopping on a weekday to avoid the crowds, my festive cheer slowly eeks away as yet another person pushes past me or the pushchair with my little boy asleep inside and I manouvere round yet another shop bursting with extra retail displays.
I get back to the freezing multistorey and try in vain to feed the machine my only cash (£5 note).
After the 3rd attempt and as I search for the help button an elderly lady behind me says 'here, let me pay, it's christmas and you have a little baby'....in hindsight should/could have insisted that they go in front whilst I wait for help or given her my £5 as thanks (patronising tho maybe) or should have been more organised but was too busy fighting back tears at someone just being kind for kindness sake so now I'm off to find someone I can do the same for....
