Would there be any point in doing this test?

My period is due on Wed. I have a feeling that I might be pregnant. I have a test, two actually, but it's normal ones, not early response ones. Would really like to know, but would this be a waste of time?

Yes, but if I were you, I'd do it anyway. (However, I am ludicrously optimistic in the few days before my period is due! Hence around half a dozen negatives in the last couple of months . Still, hope springs eternal.

I wouldn't bother till whenever the test said was the earliest you could detect from.

Yes, I think I'm just talking myself into this. Mainly it's the abdominal pain/discomfort that's making me wonder, could just be a sign of period coming on, but last few months I didn't have it with af, but I do remember it with early pregnancy. Also my belly seems huge and I haven't put weight on...

am I clutching at straws here?

I did test 48 hours and got positive result. It said was acurate from day period due.

Thing is I'm torn anyway. I want to get pregnant soon, but if it doesn't happen this month it's a good thing because I'm going to a wedding next week. And also I've only just bought new clothes and it would be nice to be able to wear them a bit longer!
