Vasectomy celebration?!

I wasn't sure where to post this, and I didn't want to put it in the family planning thread as in some ways it seems a bit lighthearted to put in with some of the discussion in there.

However, here we go... My husband is having a vasectomy on thursday as we now have 2 beautiful children (imho!) and have no desire for anymore. We have discussed this at length and are both very happy with our decision.

What I would like to do is commemorate or celebrate this event in some way as I feel it is the sort of ending of an era. I'm not thinking of holding a big party or anything Grin but would like to mark it in some way and was wondering if anyone had any suggestions.

I'm stuck for anything other than either go for a meal either with or without the children by way of celebration!!

Any suggestions gratefully appreciated - I'm not interested in comments if you think this is weird or whatever though - I'd just like some helpful/creative suggestions!

Thanks Smile.

Lucky you!
Would love DH to have a vasectomy, but he is squeamish!
Buy some lovely underwear for something to look forward to!

You could have a bonfire and burn condoms on it.

16 weeks - Shock
Didn't realise it was that long!
Better sign DH up now!

Yes, maybe you should have an "all clear" celebration for when his sperm count drops to zero, rather than a "so, you're sitting around in tight underpants and a measure of discomfort" celebration? Likely to be more fun for both of you...
