As you may know, we have been suffering a software problem that meant people were intermittently getting locked out of the mumsnet talk board. Please accept our apologies for the frustration this has caused.
Yesterday this happened again and almost everyone was locked out.
We believe we've isolated the problem and fixed it. However, we've had to rebuild our user list and this will have two main effects, which we've outlined below.
The first time you do "Check for messages since I last checked" the board won't remember that you've ever checked messages and will show you everything for the last seven days. Subsequent checks should be OK.
If you have ever chosen a new nickname then carried on using the old one, you'll find the old one doesn't work any more. You can check your current nickname on your member profile page. Use this link if you need to check it. You may need to log in with your email address and password.
