Lost Child locater/tagging

Most of us have been in that situation at one point or another where we have turned our back for a split second only to find our toddler/ child has totally disappeared.
Minutes can seem like hours as you frantically race round (most of the time in the opposite direction to where the child is eventually found) .

Would you use a gadget that can locate your lost child within seconds, simply by looking at a locater on your mobile phone ? (backed up by an 'Angel Service' which is manned 24/7.

Do you think a product like this would simply compliment good child minding or hinder adult responsibility ?

Would love to hear your thoughts on the subject !

It is a bit Orwellian for my liking.

Yes.

My husband has a company that specialises in live tracking using devices integrated into whatever you want tracking - vehicles, boats, goods, pets - and there are devices that can be integrated into mobile phones.

Part of that is geo-fencing, particularly useful for mobile phones, as you can set the device to sms you if it goes outside of the geo-fenced area.

It is a very popular service these days.
