cliques, clicks, in crowds, inner circle, inner group, whatever you want to call it???

Seriously - it really does puzzle me this obsession people seem to have with them, not just on-line - but in RL too!!!

When did the "craze" start? I'd never heard them referred to very often at all when I left school in 1997, and never once heard it mentioned while abroad. Came back to the UK in 2000, and it seems to be the "buzz" word!

Dunno. I'm not. And I'm never in the 'in crowd' - I'm usually in a sort of middle crowd.

I think as a nation we are very cliquey to be honest.

I didn't want to be in it - most the in crowd at my school got pg or got into lots of trouble. I was a good girl and kept my knickers on

I had to ask someone when I came back from Zim and they were talking about a toddler group and used the word "cliquey" what they meant

thinking back I suppose at middle school there were some 'in crowds' - but associate(d) that with that age of school children.......
