Recieved a letter today saying that there is a major planning issue that will affect the release of the house to the HA. It may take till mid-december 2005 for the problem to be resolved.
Building works has progessed to plan.

Does this mean the houses will be released in dec???

I don't suppose they'll be allowed to let tenants in until the house is actually signed over to them.

Sorry, not what you wanted to hear.

Sounds like it, presumably it is just a delay. Perhaps it relates to something communal to the development such access or drains, especially if they were going to allow occupation whilst workmen were still on site, which now need to be fully completed before anyone can move in.

But does this mean building works will continue until this planning issue is sorted, and the houses will be ready for when this planning issue is resolved??? If its december the houses will be released, thats fine as we thought dec. anyway.

Sorry don't know - guess it depends on the reason for the hold up.

sparklymieow · 24/09/2005 11:33

The letter is dated the 21st, I was over there on the 21st and the builders were still building and houses were still going up.

They may still carry on. It might just be a scheduling issue which won't affect necessarily what is being built but when it can be signed off by the buildings/planning dept as ready for occupation. Give the HA a ring on Monday .

will do. we were told oct-dec, so we have been thinking dec. as it wouldn't be a disappointment if it was dec IYKWIM. And thats only about 10 weeks away anyway.
