Luddite question alert.....

I'm trying to log on to a website I registered with (and paid for) this morning. They said they'd send a password but haven't yet. Is this too long to wait?

When I look at the 'help' page of the site, it suggests I might need to 'adjust cookies on my web browser'.
How on earth is this done?

Thanks if you can help.

What browser are you using? Internet Explorer?

spidermama · 23/09/2005 17:26

AOL.

I don't know though. Is a browser the same as an ISP?
How would I know?

SM - click on Tools at the top of yout page, then Internet Options, then the tab marked privacy. You can then either change the whole level or at the bottom you can edit to allow a particular website

I don't have 'tools' at the top. Is this because I'm on AOL?

SM - what does it say on the title bar of your browser window? That will tell us what browser it is.

(A browser is the program you use to access the web. It is not the same as your ISP. I think AOL may have its own browser (they're irritating like that), so you may need help from an AOL sort of person.)

Bump - any AOL experts around for Spidermama?

spidermama · 23/09/2005 17:54

I may have cracked it. Grrrr at AOL. I was warned about this but would I listen? Nope.
