today dd sis and i went to the pool we had a really good time but dd started getting tired so we came out. there is only 1 parent changing room (its only a small pool) and there was some1 in which was fine. we stood for 10 mins waiting and when the person came out it was a adult with no child. there was loads of other cubicles to use even bigger ones but this 1 was the only 1 with a changing table. i know they didnt have a child as had seen him in the pool on his own also no other children in. when i said that they were for people with kids he told me there were plenty others i could have used. i told him that was the only 1 with the changing bit and he said it was my own fault for having kids in the first place. i was 2 gobsmacked to say anything after that.

really angry

The selfish @rse!

Let's hope he stood on a badly-discarded nappy with bare feet.

moondog · 19/09/2005 21:43

Wanker.
Was he in a family changing area as opposed to a blokes' one?
I would mention it to staff in case he is a regular.

nannyjo · 19/09/2005 21:43

good job it wasn#t me, it would be at that point i would have lost it and told him exactly what for but i only end up looking really common when i do it the way i do

starshaker · 19/09/2005 21:46

its comunal which i think is great as it means dp can help if hes there. its the way he acted if he said sorry that would be different kindof. dd was really cold and even fell asleep on my shoulder.

We have 2 in our pool and it is always being used by people on their own. It really pissed me off as it makes such a difference when there's 2 (or more) of you. I make loud, rude commetns and give them the evils!

colditz · 19/09/2005 22:29

Nannyjo, know exactly where you're coming from.

I mean to be barbed and cutting, but I just sound a bit loud and fishwifey.

colditz · 19/09/2005 22:30

And that stupid man in starshaker's post is a pube

Inconsiderate pig!!!!

Another thing that I get really annoyed about is when people with no kids park in parent and child parking spaces, I guess they just have no idea! They seem to think the disabled parking spaces are sacred but not the parent child ones!

.... but Starshaker, that's much worse! Get the pool peopel to put a big notice up on the door sayign it is reserved for families.

nooka · 20/09/2005 21:57

I agree with you about the parent and child spaces - but have you seen how few disabled people park in the disabled spots - ds and dd like to count the ones with stickers outside our supermarket and very few of them should be there. People are incredibly lazy!

Our pool has a big communal area which is easier with the kids. The one I used before has quite a few big changing rooms, but because they do timed sessions everyone is trying to rush for the big ones. I found it too stressful in the end, and we don't go there anymore.

TwoIfBySea · 20/09/2005 22:21

For the comment he made about it being your fault for having kids in the first place - if you ever hear this again just say "I'll remind him/her/them of that when their taxes are paying your pension."
