firefox, yahoo and homepages

the story-
i use firefox, my homepage was mumsnet, i use yahoo chat.
as i signed inti yahoo this morning it asked if i wanted to download the latest version which i did do.
it has changed my homepage to yahoo and will not let me change it to anyhting else or so it appears.

has anyone got any ideas what i can do plesae?

Can you do system restore to yesterday

I don't know if that will work

Or uninstall yahoo and then system restore

But I am not a techy

Assume you've tried the usual "tools, options, general" then.

i've ttried tools options etc but thinking about it i think that is changing my IE homepage and not my firefox one. can't seem to find how to do that

It's a similar thing in IE.

But if it's changed your IE one and you use Firefox, you wouldn't notice...

IIRC it can be changed if you edit the registry but I wouldn't recommend that unless you know what you're doing

i was going in the wrong way, through the control panel. accessing it direct from the firefox page has done the trick.
