HELP!!!!! Techie question re antivirus software.

I have got a prob with my Panda antivirus, in that I have a new version to install, but can't seem to uninstall the old one!!! Argh. Have just realised my computer has been unprotected for 21 days.

I have tried to do it via control panel, and I have tried to go to the uninstall option inh the program itself, but it won't budge!!!!!

Anyone???? I am desperate!!!!! I have paid for a renewal too

try just installing the new one over the top.

Please? I know it's a really uninspiring question, but help Even if you can't answer it, please can you just share in my frustration?

Thanks SP. I have tried doing that too, and it wont install because the old one is still on my computer. Grrr

I was going to suggest what SP suggested. I thought that you had to do that with antivirus stuff to be honest. I just use the AVG free program though. Would it help if I said I feel your pain?

Yes tamum!! Bloody thing. I used to harp on about how good it (Panda) was, but now I think it's the spawn of the devil.

in that case it's possible it won't uninstall because it's running. is there somewhere in it where you can set it to disabled? if so do that, then restart the machine, then uninstall via add/remove programmes ( in the control panel).

failing that, contact their support people.

Fookin' Panda. Just phoned their helpline, which isn't manned at the weekend, and it STILL WON'T SODDING UNINSTALL
