specifically, Hovis Best of Both, thick sliced, to Germany, without it going out of date? What do you think the best options are?

well from uk to spain, the most reliable couriers are fedex and...can't remember the name of the other one. will have a look

DHL on the other hand rarely actually manage next day to Spain, but might to Germany. My dad swears by parcel2go (who resell dhl.)

the other one we haven't had problems with is UPS. avoid parcelforce.
