Trick or treating do you have to wait until it is dark??

DS wants to go NOW but I am wondering if people might be pissed off cos they won't be prepared until just before dark?

Well they won't be pissed off, more likely they're not ready. I have only just finished titivating the house, putting the tealights in the pumpkins and have yet to put the treats in a bowl. And they won't have the 'signal' pumpkin in the window yet!
