Been to see my dh today. we had two short walks together, saw the docs. Peter played with Serena, made her giggle. then he read me all the clippings from newspapers that he found funny/interesting/bizarre. We had lunch together, watched some telly and chatted. Then came the bombshell

tests are being done. over the next weekor so many wil lbe done. THEY ARE LOOKING AT PUTTING HIM BACK ON THE HEART TRANSPLANT LIST!!! so happy, an end is in sight again.

he also spent some time chatting to an ex-patient, he had his transplant h\in feb,gave peter loads of advice about eating loads, walking loads before transplant and to keep positive.

he has had an echo done already and blood tests. angio will be done soon, and stress tests etc.

its 3months the 1st week in oct, but as the tests can take a while they are starting them now. he is getting a lot better, andf hasnt had that many comlications, just that nasty bug which set his ICD off loads, and a blood clot. others have been and out of theatre loads. just seems like we have been in limbo for so long now, can belive that he has had his LVAD 10 weeks, its just become part of our lives. When we do go for walks, i make sure it is me who unplugs it, checks for spare battery/cables/hand pump/torch and i plus it back in. Getting him home would be the best thing to happen.
