Does anyone else have nothing better to do at work than come on MN?

I am bored! I hate my job and literally have NOTHING to do. Some may say that's a blessing, however, I do nothing other than watch the minutes go by. I am leaving at xmas to have a baby and am counting the days away to not have to come to this hellhole every morning! Sorry had to get that off my chest.

i'm not keen on my job either but i'm busy enough not to be bored as such. i flip in and out of mumsnet most of the day between tasks. it's a nice little escape.

I spend alot of my working day on MN as our office is so bloody quiet and I get really bored. I'm going on maternity leave in less than 9 weeks and I've been counting down the days for quite some time.

I wouldn't mind but I use to veterinary nurse and loved my job, I was very busy, often working overtime and when we decided to start a family (and my practice was relocating) I decided to get an office job to see me through pregnancy. This was mainly due to me trying to avoid lifting, cat faeces, dog bites etc etc. I always planned on going back to nursing after having the baby part time but I keep my eyes opened for vacancies as a part time vet nurse and they seem pretty non-existant. I can't stand the thought of coming back to a job like this partime, and it wouldn't be worth my while because the pay is so crap.

At least you're getting paid to be bored, I'm doing it for nothing

It is just tooooo tempting when you work from home!!

Am "working" from home! Well that and getting some household chores done. MN gives a pleasant break from the drudgery.

Am not sat in front of the PC all day . Off to dig up some potatoes now!

Only problem with my job is too bloody busy. Am sure I miss out on loads of good stuff MN-wise
