Hiya,
this probably a lame question but, i buy big amounts of fresh mince and then separate them into small cubes, freeze them and then cook little cottage pies etc for my ds (20 months) I usually defrost them , cook them and then serve up straight away but wanted to know if it's ok to do the same as abpve but then cool them in the fridge to re-heat later on at tea time?? I 'm not sure aboput the rules of defrosting, cooking and then RE heating?? Thanks very much wise ones!!

It would be fine.

General rule - you can freeze once raw, once cooked. Cook once, reheat once.

hi, i dont know what the rules are, but i cook after defrosted, and if there is some left over i pop it in th efridge and then reheat for another meal in the microwave or on the cooker.
i aint poisoned any of the family, yet.
i think as long as you reheat it to a hot temp it should be fine.
