Have you smelled Promesse? It's a new one out that might suit. Laura Mercier also has one out that smells very nice.

Lime Basil and Mandarin by Jo Malone is my current favourite (don't know if you can buy that in France?)

gingerbear · 12/09/2005 10:25

Have you tried Paloma Picasso?

Valentino has a new scent out as well that suits my sister well - and she can't abide musks or heavies either.

Think you would love Stella McCartney-really fresh and light.

gingerbear · 12/09/2005 10:31

They have an online shop, but you have to call for delivery outside the UK Think you need an emergency red cross parcel jo malone delivery! (What is your favourite?)

Lavender and amber Jo Malone is lovely.

Agree about the Rose one Beety (bit overpowering I think!)

Try a Hermes counter. They have some that are deliciously light, but very sophisticated.
