Me:

Ecover multi-purpose cleaner in a spray bottle thingy (for cleaning kitchen surfaces and table) - never use anything else.

Yorkshire Tea.

Persil washing powder.

Lurpak butter.

Anything else I will experiment with, but those are my constants.

OP posts:
freefruit · 13/10/2010 00:50

None I think!!

freefruit · 13/10/2010 00:54

oh possibly Hellmans

although why advertise on here if most of us wont buy anything else? surely you should spend your money elsewhere Hmm

BohoHobo · 13/10/2010 01:56

Coca Cola
Kellogs Cornflakes

Thats it, everything else we have found alternatives for if brands aren't cheapest/ on offer!

OhNoNotTheHoneyBabies · 13/10/2010 07:32

Marmite
Birds custard powder
Rose's lime marmalade
DM boots too! Grin
Nairn's oatcakes
Lidl Toujours baby wipes
Fry's Turkish Delight

kreecherlivesupstairs · 13/10/2010 08:02

Marmite - obviously
Paradontax toothpaste
Oxo cubes
Branston pickle
Paxo stuffing
Heinz beans
HP sauce
Marlboro red
Pernod not Ricard
Anything else I tend to buy whatever is cheapest. Most of the above isn't available in the countries we've lived in, so an empty bag on the way out, becomes a full one on the way out.

JustAnother · 13/10/2010 08:41

Cafe Noir? you mean the shoe brand or something else?

aquavit · 13/10/2010 10:12

vegemite not marmite (sorry, dh is half aus)
fairy liquid
heinz ketchup
neal's yard skincare
tea direct tea
colgate
de cecco pasta
andrex quilted loo paper (is quilted loo paper dreadfully Hycacinth Bucket? ah well)

dh insists on kellogg's rice krispies and sunpat peanut butter

I think that's it

won't touch lurpak but can't remember why Blush, perhaps because prefer to buy British? tho I often buy French butter so that doesn't make much sense.

Am such a whore with loyalty cards etc that I don't think I am giving away any great secrets here (also, sometimes I think I quite WANT the marketers to know exactly what I like [naive emoticon])

Heathcliffscathy · 13/10/2010 10:18

heinz ketchup...everything else tastes bleugh
naturebaby nappies as they are the only ones that i know won't give ds2 nappy rash
lea & perrins clearly

that's it really. anything else I"ll mess with.

duchesse · 13/10/2010 10:55

I must be a marketer's nightmare then because I have absolutely NO brand loyalty whatsoever. I am a complete brand tart- will change my mind on a whim.

In fact my children claim that the Value cornflakes from sainsbos taste way better than any other and are miffed if we succumb to an offer on branded ones.

Apple Mac - I did once contemplate switching to a windows-based PC laptop for cost reasons but physically couldn't make myself do it. Grin

NumptyMum · 13/10/2010 12:30

I'd have said John Lewis for guarantee EXCEPT that I got a Denon hi-fi as special birthday treat there some years back, it had a fault and they mucked me about no end! Had to take it to independent shop in the end as we discovered it was covered under Denon's own guarantee and shouldn't have been sent off to the cowboy repairers that John Lewis used... Really dented my faith in them.

But re brands, I'd go with Heinz baked beans, and Clipper tea. Don't think there's much else I'm particular about...

alleykitten · 13/10/2010 12:38
