strange one I know but i'm struggling to find my daughters something different to wear....they tend to be in leggins and dress-tops but i was thinking about something maybe a bit more feminine. However,I've noticed there's not much in the way of skirts at the moment but there seems to be alot of kilts.I'm just wondering if this trend is going to catch on.Don't wanna make a big mistake which ends up stuck in the wardrobe! Also, what would you tell your daughter to wear with a kilt????

When my dd is a teenager, I expect she will make her own clothing choices. She is only actually 10 but still seems to have an opinion on what she wears.

Would it be wise to buy something for your dds without asking them first?

Does said teenage daughter want a kilt?

Men wear kilts, women wear skirts. If you mean buying something from the mens department for your daughters, I think you'd need to check with them first whether they were happy with the idea. In any event, I wouldn't buy a teenager any clothes without having them there to make the choice!

oh god no....they have as much freedom as they want as far as their fashion-sense lol!....I have not idea about fashion which is why i was asking some advice on here!!!
I have seen a couple of kilts on different fashion pages and wondered if anyone else'd daughters had gone for them that's all!!!

i did ask my eldest daughter who kind of shrugged her shoulders....wondering whether to chance it or not.

(i've had a major clothes clear out after a growth spurt and dd1 is seriously short of clothes which is why i'm ploughing through catalogues looking for some different ideas.)

Mini kilt with leggings/thick tights and chunky boots would be quite nice - but as I'm 41 and therefore know nothing about fashion according to my children, I'm probably suggesting social suicide for your DD!

he he well i'm 42 so i've got not much chance then either lol!
i was thinking the same as your idea though...just not sure what to put on the top.i'll probably find they'll hate the kilts anyway lol!
Thanks everyone for your help x
