OK - yes I'll admit it - I still haven't washed it - and it must be at least a week since I last posted saying it needed doing badly.

DH will probably be home in 40 minutes (give or take a bit), I've already sorted the dishes out, loaded the dishwasher, put some clothes away etc etc.

I also need to do my shopping at Tesco.com for delivery tomorrow. Which I could do after DH gets home.........

Shall I wash it tonight - or shall I be a really dirty bugger and leave it another day

No, Angeliz, I brushed the hall carpet when I went into labour, we don't own a vacuum cleaner you see. I need to get pregnant again as the carpet could do with another brushing.

Amai, I'm both flabberghasted and amazed ... you don't have a vacuum cleaner?

Amai · 08/09/2005 22:15

Laminate flooring is a wonderful thing Carla. I just use a nappy wipe here and there. Would get some quarrytiles too QofQ but they are too cold in the winter.

QueenOfQuotes · 08/09/2005 22:16

we thought they'd be cold - but they're not!

We have to walk through the kitchen to get to the bathroom (we do have an upstairs toilet though) to shower in the mornings, and that means we often walk through with bare feet!!!

Never wearwhite socks in my house. I was forced into mopping the kitchen/ hall floor today due to the fact DH had ds bring him glasses of beer for the keg he bought to watch the footie with other wise I would have left it another week or longer... I hate house work and I am crap at it

QueenOfQuotes · 09/09/2005 20:29
  • still haven't done it - though seriously thinking of going and doing it now.

I made a big 'step' towards doing it earlier - I brought the mop and bucket in from the shed as it looked like it was going rain......

Now I just need to actually Do it

we have a laminate flor..and probably no more than 1 by 2 metres square so very manageable..yet i'm still too lazy to clean it often!
and am i the only one who hates mops!?
our last flatmmate went crazy at the idea that we dont have one..but whats the point in having such a bulky thing for such a small floor and not to mention the junk they harbour

Amai · 09/09/2005 21:55

well I was going to do it - was just cleaning my cupboards out and sorting the pantry (well cupboard under the stairs with a shelf in it which I keep some of my food stuff in). And then was going to clean it, But DH being an ar*e again and now I've just left the kitchen in the middle of sorting it.

I don't bl**dy care about the stupid floor atm
