help I have just found mumsnet yesterday, and now I am addicted, I am a mum of 4 and I have been trying to finish a 3,500 word assigment which is due into Uni on wednesday, but now that I have found mumsnet I keep having to have a break from typing to have a quick fix! I am managing 500 words then a break but I may have to go cold turkey if I am going to get it finished by tonight.

wELCOME METIRED! i TOO AM TRULY ADDICTED. I KEEP IT OPEN ALL DAY AND CHECK IN ALL THE TIME TO SEE IF THERE ARE ANY NEW POSTS i CAN REPLY TOO. Whoops sorry about the caps.
It's massively addictive and I have no will power. I must check in every half hour if not more. it's brilliant thought. Didn'ty think I'd be into this kind of thing - chat rooms always scared me, but this has been a Godsend and I love it!

it is not very exciting, I am half way through a nursing degree, I think I must be mad, 4 kids, 2 jobs and half a degree, not enough hours in the day, still it keeps me out of mischief!!

Well done metired. I'm starting a degree in September and I've just the one child. You have given me inspiration!!

yeeha - I have finished, 3,500 words all nicely typed, harvard references the lot and looking gorgeous, pity that its total garbage to read, but never mind, will let you know in 6 weeks what sort of a mark I got, I'm off to open a very large bottle of red wine.

I am addicted too. Have just been off work for a week and missed checking in. Got back to work and the server had crashed and only started working again this morning! Am wading through all messages from the past 13 days. Am I the saddest one on here or what?

Subscribed today as well!

Northerner · 14/08/2003 12:07

I'm addicted also. Don't have a PC at home so I can only log on at work. I keep promising that today I won't log on as it's not fair when I should be working etc. BUT I CAN'T HELP MYSELF!

Oliveoil - what do you mean you subscribed? Should I be paying something?

katierocket · 14/08/2003 12:08

northener - it's £10 for the year and as mumsnet is struggling financially, well worth the tenner to keep it going!

Well I've just subscribed too!

oliveoil · 14/08/2003 13:13

£10? I paid more than that, I was robbed! Only joking, I am on here that much I owe about a grand.

I think you just pay what you can afford or think you owe for your usage.
