What's the worst that could happen with DD (6.8) crawling inside the duvet cover to sleep? She's been a pest going to bed tonight, when I went out of room for a minute before story in bed, came back in and opened the door onto her head as she'd decided to take pillow and blanket and make a bed on the floor just inside the room Confused Anyway just gone in and she's fast asleep INSIDE the duvet cover, roasting hot with head sticking out the button bit at the bottom. Have sorted her out but being a total paranoid type over many things just wondered if you can suffocate like this - or if you fall asleep right under all the bed clothes and get tangled up. Please tell me to shut up if required but needed to have a quick post before going to make dinner and look at the pile of dishes - late I know but that is the fault of MN!

Is there a subtle difference between Chat and Other subjects by the way?

I'd have thought at nearly 7 she'd wake up when she gets too hot and will sort herself out.

Funny thing though getting inside the duvet cover Grin I remember DS getting under the stretchy sheet when he was a toddler.

Um, the duvet gets sweaty or dirty and you need to wash the actual duvet not just the cover, and your washing machine isn't big enough, and then it's a pain to clean.

That's all I can think of.

Get her a sleeping bag?

Chat = busy
Other Subjects = Everyone sees the topic header and suddenly remembers it exists.

MaryMotherOfCheeses · 09/09/2010 22:18

oh, and Chat threads get deleted 90 days after they die (so usually for nonsense and witterings) whereas Other Subjects stays forever.

inside duvet covers it the best place for make believe and secrets when you are that age. what is the difference safety wise to sleeping in a sleeping bag?
