Just joined Facebook after being pretty Hmm before now. It seems to be sucking me in!!! Finding myself just randomly clicking friends of friends to do a nosey. Is this normal?? Don't really know what I'm doing and am a bit worried it will start emailing everyone in my address book or something. Is anything dodgy likely to happen, what do most folk do - update every day or what? I'm already going "She's got loads of friends, I've only got a couple", "Looks like they're having a great time in those photos, my life's boring", etc etc. Are these normal fledgling Facebook emotions? Hints and tips please?

Don't worry you can stalk click who you like ,they won't know Grin

It is normal to go through a period of excitement/nosiness when you first join but after a while you settle down, delete all those 'friends' you accepted in the first flush of excitement and realise there's only a few people you are actually interested in anyway! Grin

Now I mainly use it to chat to people. Don't get sucked into Farmville though - it takes over your life! Confused

Do check your privacy settings though - I am a teacher so have mine set as high as I can; basically only friends I have accepted can see anything about me.

If I send a friend request and it's rejected do I get a message saying that - don't think I could cope with the rejection Grin
Makes note to Google Farmville.
