John lewis
Bravissimo
Jojomaman bebe
Charles Clinkard
Diffusion
A startrite stockist

There used to be a Jojomanan Bebe, I'm sure. It was in the Bullring.

Get yourself over to Solihull for JL, Bravissimo.

I've no idea what Diffusion is.

racmac · 25/08/2010 06:46

ISnt DIffusion in Mailbox?

and i agree there was a Jojomaman in Bullring
havent been in a while so not sure if still there

AmazingBouncingFerret · 25/08/2010 07:20

It probably doesnt have a JL because Solihull is so close and they have one.
The other ones... no idea. Sorry!

hidetheelephant · 07/09/2010 13:44

They also don't have a Whistles shop, only inside Selfridges and House of Fraser.

hidetheelephant · 07/09/2010 13:57

Also Birmingham and Solihull share loads of other shops so I don't think that's a valid excuse Grin

UnquietDad · 07/09/2010 14:00

I have no ides what Diffusion is either, but I'm sure Birmingham does better than Sheffield. We have a smaller and worse-provided city centre than Nottingham, a city with half the population.

Slight change of subject here but did your DD ever get the Nintendo DS she wanted? I seem to remember her asking for one a couple of years ago and you said she would have to wait til she is older? I totally agree with you by the way. I think the upper end of primary school is the youngest they should have them.

UnquietDad · 08/09/2010 14:39

elephant, is that for me? No we haven't got her one yet.

hidetheelephant · 10/09/2010 14:37

Is she about year 6 age now?

UnquietDad · 10/09/2010 15:11

Yes, just started Y6.

CaptainNancy · 10/09/2010 20:27

What is charles clincard?

there has never been a jojomaman in the bullring to my knowledge- there used to be one in solihull.

nigglewiggle · 10/09/2010 20:31

Clinkard's is an middle-of-the-road shoe shop.

BelligerentGhoul · 10/09/2010 20:32

Rackhams used to stock Startrite years ago but haven't done for ages. Tis a pain.

Never heard of Charles C or Diffusion. Have no desire at all for Bravissimo or Jojomaman.

Agree that a John lewis would be VERY nice!

CaptainNancy · 10/09/2010 20:39

bravissimo are quite good BG.

BelligerentGhoul · 10/09/2010 20:43

I've never seen anything I've liked when I've looked in Bravissimo in Solihull, Captain Nancy. But I don't like any lace or scratchy bits or colours and they seem mostly to be coloured lace - I may well not have looked properly though, as I'm usually just desperate to get to John Lewis! :)

Charles Clinkard is a shoe shop which is fab for kids shoes. Whenever I've been to one the people that work there have spent ages correctly fitting shoes for my DS and even discouraged me against buying shoes because the only navy blue boots they had didn't come in half sizes and one size would only have had a month or two growing room and the others were too big for the moment. They could have quite easily sold me the smaller ones cos they did fit and they did have some growing room, I know Clarks would have!

greenlotus · 12/09/2010 23:49

You have to battle through to the back of the shop where the "everyday" styles are tucked away (Bravissimo I mean).

Quattrocento · 13/09/2010 00:03

Oh I went to Birmingham once!

Never again ...

ArseHolio · 13/09/2010 00:08

Diffusion at Merry Hell and Wolverhampton I think ?

nappyaddict · 23/09/2010 09:27

Also no Poundworld, Home Bargains, Bargain Madness or T J Hughes.
