Emigrating to Oz can someone help me with this query ??

A friend of dp's is thinking of moving to Oz but isn't sure if he meets the visa requirements.

He is a qualified plumber but he hasn't actually worked as one since getting the qualifications.

Any ideas as to wether this would be enough to get him in or not ??

According to this - they must have recent skilled work experience so on that basis it looks like it is not enough to get him in!!
