Hebden Bridge area - activities for toddlers

We are moving to the Todmorden/Hebden Bridge area at the beginning September and would love to know what we will find in terms of playgroups and activities up there for our ds who is 16 months old. We live in Tower Hamlets at the moment which (during term time at least) has a really good range of playgroups/activities for 0-18 months.

If there are any mumsnetters out there who know the Tod/Hebden Bridge area I would really appreciate a few pointers.

Hi mamajinks, I used to live in Littleborough, so I've heard of one in 'Lumbutts' that shouldn't be too far from you?

There is a fantastic pub/restaurant called the 'The Top Brink' in Todmorden on the road to Lumbutts, it is always busy and great for toddlers, the food is good and reasonably priced.
As you go in the door there, there is a poster advertising the 'Lumbutts Mother and Toddler Group' and telling you where it is and a phone no., it sounds really good.

Sorry I can't be more help as to it's exact whereabouts, but it's a good excuse to go out for tea anyway!

Thanks Neen 99. My MIL lives in Milnrow and I have often driven up past the Lake and into Littleborough.

I will look out for the Lumbutts group (I know where Lumbutts is but have never actually been there)and I will definitely try out The Top Brink.

Thanks again

MJ
