i was trying to transfer some photos onto a memory stick..(as i have done many times with no probs!!) from my photo files.

Oddly some tranfered and some didnt.

When i tried to to the ones that hadnt again..it said these files were corrupt.

how do i resolve this???

thanks.

Can you actually open and view the corrupt photo's?

mindermummy · 19/08/2010 21:13

i can open the file on the computer and look at them yes.
But it SEEMED like some had transfered to the stick...and i cant see them on there.

when i tried to do them again...it said they were corrupt.

hmmm... i would try renaming the file, make sure it is transfering as a jpeg or whatever file type it is, and try again? Maybe clear off the stick and try it with just one pic until it works? Sorry not too helpful really.

mindermummy · 22/08/2010 21:23

i tried re namng files and it still didnt work.
I cant clear the stick as its full of other photos to go on my photo frame.
and i tried one at time..no go!!

Confused

Thats very strange. Its hard for me to help really without being there (im a take over and try many things to get it to work kinda girl)... sorry, maybe just leave them off.

mindermummy · 23/08/2010 11:00

oh yes that was the other thing...i thoughti will leave them off...so then tried to tranfer them onto a dics instead....as i have done many times....and it seemed like it was tranfering onto the disc, but the disc was still blank after?????!!!!!

so now just wanna clear photos off computer and cant put them onto disc or stick!!!! grrr

would that make any more sense to you????

thanks for your comments.xx

ok so the pics are on the pc still now, and opening on the pc?

but you want them all off the pc and stored on a disc (for safekeeping?) and a key, to put onto your photoframe?

And some are on the stick, but wont open or delete?

Where abouts in the country are you?

mindermummy · 23/08/2010 15:29

Sorry been ill and forgot to check if youd answered. Have you tried the stick in the picture frame, does it show the corrupt pictures? Or have you managed to sort it now?

mindermummy · 26/08/2010 13:28

no still havent sorted it...

the pics dont show up on the frame...it stops at that point, shows black and has written..may be a corrupt file.

????????

Ok i will ask my DH tonight... cause im stumped.

starzzz · 27/08/2010 21:19

Right, he says its your card. Do you still have the pics on your pc? if so, format your card/stick, then try again :)

mindermummy · 29/08/2010 20:00

hi...do you know what i spoke to someone who knows a little about computers and they said it would of been the card too.
so i bought a new card and tried to tranfer the ones that woulnt onto new one...and it worked.

Thank god!!

thanks for your advice and will remember if it happens again!! ...although not sure how you would format your stick????

Glad you got it sorted, hope it doesnt happen again.

Just for info, to format a card/stick, go to my computer (when it is plugged in) right click on card/stick, and click format. Easier than deleting!
