When I was at school, we had to go through the weekly humiliation of having our skirts measured by an over zealous form tutor, who was a real stickler for rules. If your skirt was the wrong legnth, she'd make you go and get a scabby one from lost property

there was a news story recently of the head of a newly elected council - can't remember where - somewhere in Britain - who told his fellow councillors and others to smarten up - eg no jeans to meetings

I'm old so I think it's fair enough - think things have got sloppy - look at nurses - my sister trained as an SRN in the year dot - everthing was starched, uniforms were colour coded you knew who everyone was - you couldn't wear your uniform home - NO MRSA!

Doctors at my local hospital have been issued with guidelines after patients complained about bum cleavage and crop tops.

Having recently been in hospital I don't think a crop top is a good idea when leaning over a patient who is in bed and then saying "look at the ceiling" (or alternatively right up my top because of the way I am stood).

Well I live in Budapest and they sure like short skirts here - more like belts really! Some of the guys I know eagerly await the first spring sighting of a short skirt!

Have to say I agree about crop tops on people who are a bit "fleshy"! Not pretty.
