Can anyone recommend a nice night light and suggest where to get it (catalogue or otherwise)? My 3.5 yo DS has developed a fear of the dark and I want to get one for him. All suggestions gratefully received.

B and Q have ones shaped moons and stars for about £5. Also IKEA have really good ones!

We have a mothercare one that comes on automatically when room gets dark and goes off when becomes light again (althoughhave suspicsion that this is what they all do!!!). Just a little one that sits in the plug socket all of the time was about £4 I think.

GLTC used to do a great night light that can be gradually faded to off over 20 minutes or set to your required brightness. It's a white dome shaped light. My son who was (and still is) scared of the dark really liked it cos a normal night light made too many shadows which were scary. A cheap option is a normal bedside lamp but with 'night light bulb' You can get these in homebase (12v). This way you could maybe even choose a 'character' bedside lamp for him - I think they do Thomas the Tank for instance in homebase.
