We have been in our house for nearly 3 years and have still not done our bedroom. It is covered in a vile dark blue wallpaper that makes it look dismal.
In my defence ds2 was born 2 weeks after moving in, and in that time we did half the living room and ds1's bedroom.
We did the landing 2 years ago, ds2's bedroom last year and have just finished the hall and stairs, which were started last year. We have also just done the bathroom, apart from the re-tiling.
Whole house was disgustingly decorated when we moved in, with every bit of wood and every radiator painted a vile shade of mahogany. Wallpaper was the big, flowery kind with a border and stripes at the bottom. Most of the brown is now covered but now and again I spot a bit that we missed and have to get the paint out. I mean, who paints their entire house brown?
All that's left to do now is the kitchen and our bedroom.
And when it's finished I will never decorate again.

Same as LSS so far...and likely to happen again, I think!

we have been in our new house for just over a year and have just finished our room 2 days ago.
I reckon we will re-do it in a couple of years. Might get the rest of the house done by then!

Every five years or so just before putting the house on the market. Then I think, 'ahhh. This looks so nice. I wish I'd done it earlier.'

Go for it YG. Use matchpots though. I've actually done my bedroom recently in a kind of plaster pink and it looks horrible. It'll be years before I get the time to do it again. GGrrr.
My mum always tells me I need to develop a sense of deferred gratification. She's right. As per usual.
