Positive reasons for moving to Horley, Surrey please.

We are thinking about moving our family with pre school children to Horley but I'm not happy about the proximity to Gatwick airport.

Does anyone out there live in Horley? I need some positive feedback about the town!

Did live in the area for a while and although housing and most of the preschools, kids' activities and primary schools are good the town centre itself is pretty run down. Lots of talk about plans to regenerate town centre , build new sports facilities etc which seem to at last be taking off. Really miss being 2 mins from Waitrose and convenience of the large Tesco at Hookwood if that is any comfort ! Airport noise was rarely an issue tbh - runway goes East-West(meaning Charlwood and Smallfield/Burstow are most directly affected locally) so you don't get planes overhead.
