another ebay question!!

Does anyone know how long it is acceptable to wait for payment once an items been won?? Someone won something I was selling on Sunday and have still not paid or contacted me in any way. How long should I leave it before getting in touch with them? I sent them an invoice on Sunday.

I'd certainly send them an email asking politely if they could let you know how they intend to pay etc. If I win anything I try to pay straight away with Paypal or at the very least I email as soon as I possibly can just to reassure the seller that I'm not a time waster, so if this is genuiine buyer, they won't mind at all.

i usually leave it a week.
i once couldn't pay straight away and the seller actually sent the item before i paid, which i thought was unique on ebay!

i mean, i relist after a week and state that on the description on the item i sell.

Sunday's not long, someone could easily have a bug or been called away. Or got a PC virus. We sell a lot on ebay (DH does most of his business there), and we would e-mail after 5 days, then relist after a fortnight. Before that we try to call on the phone.

We have only had problems twice in two years using this technique: one was someone whose kid had bid unknown to them for something out of their reach, and one was a dealer in a similar field, who e-mailed our cistomers calling DH a cheat / con artist etc (he was dealt with by ebay).

if the money hasn't been received in her paypal account you should be able to recall it. I once told a buyer my paypal address, but typed it wrongly, she sent the money to the wrong address, so it didn't appear on my account. Once I realised my mistake she was able to recall the money and send it to the right address.

thanks for your replies. This guy seems like a genuine buyer as he has 100% positive feedback with a high score so I'll hang on for a while. I think I'll give him a week and then a polite email and if I still don't get a response I'll relist! thanks again it's just everything else I've sold is usually paid for straight away and you get used to that!
