does any have any suggestions on what I can do with my DD shoes as she outgrows them. Whilst they are in pretty good condition, I don't think they are good enough to sell on ebay etc. I would like to donate them to Africa etc, but have no idea how to go about this.

any suggestions welcome.

many thanks

I think generally shoes and clothes are too bulky to ship over. How about a charity shop or the Oxfam/Salvation Army clothes' banks?

I put them in the Sal Army's clothes banks.

Which reminds me I Must do a good clear out this week!

Some shoe shops have collection boxes outside where you can literally drop in the shoes as you leave the shop with the new ones. I've done that a few times. And I think they go to Africa but don't quote me on that.

MT I recycle past it clothes as floor/counter/toilet cloths.

marthamoo - any idea if clarkes have the boxes you mentioned?

cheers for the ideas - guess I can wait for the next charity bag to come through the door.

MT - don't worry you haven't hijacked the thread - just expanded it. I haven't got around to asking about clothes yet (they are still in boxes ready to sort out what I can sell on Ebay) - my hubby reckons I shouldn't buy and more stuff for DD until I have sold some... (I guess because of expense as well as space....) men they just don't understand a girl can never have enough shoes and clothes

I so don't come under that category myself only having a couple pairs of shoes and trainerss but my DD will is definately going to be more girlie than me..

I put old shoes in the shoe bank outside our local sainsburys (think it's Oxfam bank)...or if i get new shoes from the local independent shoe shop...they offer to take the old ones...and these go to Oxfam too.
