good efort custardo. have been off- line for a bit so have only just seen this. agree with beety that someone bossy should tell us all to swap places. do i really have to tell the restaurant i'm part of mrs custardo's party?

Yes, good idea!

AND We should all try to guess the names as we come in. It'll be like a RL thread!

monkeytrousers · 24/08/2005 19:38

Will try to book it asap. Have to pay online so I need to wait until my student loan comes through. (How sad is that!)

WideWebWitch · 24/08/2005 19:41

Ks, no idea of their capacity downstairs, there were what, 40 of us that time? And there was definitely room for another 30 ish but it was a looooong time ago and my memory may be totally pants. I think we should ask them. I bet nearer 40/50 actually go!

monkeytrousers · 24/08/2005 19:49

Will it be...smoking or non smoking? Lots of pregnant women there..

WideWebWitch · 24/08/2005 19:50

when we went there was a non smoking and a smoking table. It's a bar, I assume they do still allow smoking but I guess you could check.

The bar was separate but you could smoke in the restaurant bit too ks. It might have changed in the light of new laws and stuff, dunno, am non smoker now so don't care!

Oh deffo no paying for custy.

Think maybe we should have a toastmaster to annouce us as we come in: 'Ms Wicked Water Witch and Ms Monkey Trousers'

Am sooo looking forward to this, must sort out appalling zitfest though...

tigermoth · 24/08/2005 19:58

custy can you delete the (sorry) after my name on your list - unless you are sorry I want to come along

monkeytrousers · 24/08/2005 20:03

monkeytrousers · 24/08/2005 20:03

DelGirl · 24/08/2005 20:08

babyonboard · 24/08/2005 20:19

I don't ant to commit as my due date is the 20th of nv. so I may be too shell shocked or too pregnat and grumpy at the time..but if he is born early, or on time and I am up for it, I will defintley be a latecomer to the festivities!

Kayleigh I'm going so you'd better be there. Look at the list loads of people you know wll be there

One suggestion, feel free to ignore it what if we sort out the set menu and wine as agreed below, and pre pay if poss to confirm. Then collect a tenner from all those drinkers - hand to the waiter and ask that wine is supplied until money runs out Since the set meal, plus approx 1/2 bottle of wine will already have been paid for, this should allow nearly another bottle of wine per head - for the drnkers

Also Custy, make sure they include the service when they do the set meal so we don't need to worry post meal

I am so excited already, I just need to sort out a room. Anyone want to share somewhere close??

babyonboard · 24/08/2005 20:33

what sort of place are you planning to book? surely you'll need a big , big restaurant prepared to book for a big number?

teddi7 · 24/08/2005 21:24

Custardo and everyone else

Have you got room for one more? I've got spare beds I can trade.

Also Sophable - I'm in SW London too if you fancy trying to organise an SW one another time. If we wanted to be really cheesy we could go to Caesar's (arrgh!) Sorry am hijacking thread.
